We spoke to the owner of Dior Briards interested in a Briard puppy. She did not have a puppy suitable to our needs and referred us to a friend who might have a dog which would suit. We sent a $500 deposit to Dior Briards. There was no mention at any time of non-refundability or partial non-refundability of this deposit. The breeder to which we were referred would not even provide a photograph of the puppy, and we decided to terminate the transaction. Our deposit is being held by Dior Briards, who said that they will send back only what is left after they finally sell it and subtract advertising and boarding of the puppy we didn't buy. There was never a sales agreement and never disclosure that they would keep our money if the transaction was not finalized. Use caution in dealing with this breeder!
