Treasured Collection
Not for those who are detail-oriented

We got married a few years ago and I am just very delayed in writing a review. I looked for online reviews before ordering a cube and never found anything. I see ads for Treasured Collection's Lucite Wedding Cube (and other products) in multiple Jewish magazines and it finally prompted me to write something - since it surprisingly seems like there still aren't any reviews out there.

The Lucite Wedding Cube isn't necessarily a bad product - but, you should be aware that it doesn't look exactly like the pictures in the advertisements. I wish I could post a picture of our cube so that people can make their own judgment. We had a large glass, so there was plenty of material to work with. The final product resembles a glass, but, think Leaning Tower of Pisa. The base of the glass is somewhat centered in the bottom of the cube. The bottom of the stem of the glass is about half-way between the center of the base and one edge. (In mathematical terms I think it's half-way across the radius.) The stem then tilts up towards the center of the cube and meets up with the shards that have been placed to somewhat form the cup of a glass. The shards overlap and are a bit squished on one side and are more spread out going around towards the opposite side.

When we got the Cube, I emailed Treasured Collection to find out if there was any way it could be fixed so the stem was a little more straight and matched up with the base. After the owner reviewed the pictures I sent, his only response was that he didn't see what I was talking about. (You'd have to be blind not to see the Leaning Tower of Our Wedding Glass in the pictures I sent - which were taken from multiple sides.)

After I found out that customer service was non-existent, we found out another friend had ordered a Cube. Luckily, ours looks better than theirs. Theirs is essentially a few floating pieces of glass in a cube and you can't even tell what it was supposed to be. (They used a more traditional wedding glass without a stem.) The reason it was sparse had nothing to do with the amount of glass they sent because they got additional pieces back that weren't placed in the cube.

So, short story is: if you're not picky, this could be a good way to preserve your wedding glass. If you are picky, you probably want to find something else.

With how expensive everything wedding-related is, I suppose it could have been a much greater financial loss. But, it's still disappointing that we thought that we'd have a way to display our glass and instead it's just collecting dust on the bottom of a bookshelf so we don't see it. (Yes, both my husband and I are fairly detail-oriented and neither of us were happy with the final product.)
