I searched everywhere on the internet for reviews of professional resume writers. I found a website that listed Resume Professional Writers as #1 with over 97% customer satisfaction. This is false. The review website must be run by the company itself.
I purchased a total of 3 resumes. After I received the first draft, I noticed incorrect grammar, punctuation, etc. They basically copied and pasted the answers to my questionnaire and formatted it for me. Some of the sentences made no sense at all. I had a feeling that english was not my writers first language, but she had an American name, which threw me off a little bit. Two weeks and 3 revisions later, I gave up and ended up writing the resume myself. They did the formatting for me and finalized it after the 4th revision.
I let them continue with the second resume, because I though that maybe the first one was a fluke because they didn't understand my industry very well. I was wrong. The second one was horrible. It was basically copy and paste from my first resume with a different heading. They copied and pasted some of the info from the job description I gave them, but that was it. This is when I decided to cancel.
It was obvious that the customer service person who handled my refund request did not have perfect english. She asked why I wanted to cancel, so I told her I was unhappy with their service. She didn't ask any other questions and said she would process my refund in 5 - 7 banking days. This was just a couple of days ago, so we'll see how much I actually get back.
When I typed the customer service phone number into Google, I found the other reviews here on usacomplaints.com. I can't believe I couldn't find any of these "real" reviews before. I have used a different service in the past: Resume Edge, and I was blown away with how good they were. I saw that one person on here had a negative experience with them. My experience with them was several years ago, so I don't know if anything has changed since then.
In summary, stay away from RPW. Don't get ripped-off like I did.
