I was assisting my 72 year old Mother to get a Loan Modification and went with a company called Homesafe America, Inc. They seemed legit and checked out ok.
We were working with a gentleman named Adam Benjamin who sounded very genuine and sincere.
Her reassured it wasn't a scam and he seems to have our best interest at heart.
Later, I realized I had friends and collegaues in the ths same field that I should of went with instead. But they reassured these types of loans have a 4 month processing time.
Well when 4 months passed I tried to call Mr. Benjamin to get a status check. LOW AND BEHOLD! All their numbers are disconnected! Fax numbers and all.
My Mother broke down to me the other crying that she wants to retire already and cannot afford her mortgage anymore. I don't have the heart to tell her that we were possibly scammed! We paid about 3500 to start this process.
Please if anyone has any information on this company, please contact us. I am hoping her bank will refund her money on her debit card if she reports this as fraud.
