I had Protection One come out to my house to look at my existing security system and let me know if their service would work on my existing system. They come out and tell yes, no problem our service can work on your system, so i sign up. Months later I have an issue with my alarm and I call Protection One. At that time I am informed that they are NOT monitoring my house because, yes you guessed it, their system does not work with my existing security system and that I would have to pay $2,000 to get it upgraded.
I explain that I was told by the salesman that it would work, but this falls on deaf ears. So i cancel, but they tell me if I cancel I have to pay a cancellation fee of around $450 for a service they are not providing that I was lied to about in the first place. Their clear goal is to say whatever it is necessary to get you to sign up because once you sign up they use the credit bureaus as their thugs to get you to pay for their lies and false promises.
DO NOT use this company!
