I had a rug cleaned by flat rate carpet about 6 months ago. I waited for them to call me to tell me when I was getting my rug. They kept telling me that the rug was not ready and they would call me when it's ready. I made over 100 calls to them and come to find out my rug is nowhere to be found and they refuse to compensate me for the rug. I threatened to take them to small claims court but when you call the 866 number no one will give you an address or the name of the owner. When someone finally called me back they said they could not find the rug and I could use the amount that I paid for the rug a “loss”. I was so angry and disgusted at this point I just gave up. I am now in the process of taking them to court and I already spoke to District Attorney's Office of New York. I have also filed a report with the Better Business Bureau and also a report with my local Consumer Affair's department.
These people are all thieves and not only did I not get my rug back they would not even pay me for the rug and just brushed me off as I was nothing.
