The item I bought from Country Lady Antiques was not anything like what the listing said it was, when I bought it online. When it arrived, it was totally different, maybe even a different item altogether, and I was unhappy with it. I tried to contact Country Lady Antiques multiple times through e-mail and phone, and even tried to leave a comment on Mary Spencer's historical costume blog, where she talks about the stuff she is trying to sell, and it appears she just deleted it. They refused to refund me, even though I was unhappy with the product, and they were extremely rude and accusatory. I also found out that the products they're selling are not all historic or originals, and they even try to sell used, modern products, pass them off as something old or "one of a kind, " when they're just manufactured - they sell them for a much higher price, and obscure the company name, so you don't know what you're getting when you buy it. They are just gouging you on price. The worst part is that you can't get in contact if you want to return or even if you just have a question. They say "all sales final" on the website, which is fine, except that what they are selling you is not what you think you bought. That's a very serious issue with the BBB!
If you are reading this report, please take my advice and do not purchase from these people. The bad merchandise is one thing, but the way they treat you if you are unhappy with the product is really bad.
