Had opened an account with MBF Leasing in 2005 for credit merchant services and equipment leasing for a credit card machine that was "supposed" to be a month to month contract.
Long story short, in 2009 after 4 years of battling with MBF about letting us out of the lease. We closed the account down and returned the equipment by mail.
Then I receive a letter dated February 21 from SKS Associates informing me of certain fees and taxes that were undercollected during the time of the lease.
Before I could call to dispute the letter, the funds in the amount of $105.31 had already been removed from my account.
When I finally did get in touch with SKS, the man didn't even fully understand the charges but explained to me that they are non-refundable and to get in touch with my County assessor's office to verify that the funds were allocated to the correct place.
I have never heard of such a thing, and I am frustrated and angered by how this SKS/MBF Leasing Company has taken advantage of myself, my husband and many other people.
I even went as far as to let the agent on the phone working for SKS he might want to consider getting a better job working for a more ethical company. He replied that he just needs to pay his rent. I don't know that these employees even understand the complete lack of integrity this company has.
