National Magazine Exchange
Rippoff artists, people that work there have no life, scammers, don't fall a fool to these assholes

When i got this notice on the million dollar sweepstakes in the mail it sounded interesting. I opened it and it said call a toll free # to be entered to win one million dollars. Of course i did and a guy asked for my I.D. #, so i gave it to him.

After i was entered into the million dollars drawing, (or so i think i was), this retarded guy started talking to me about magazine offers, and if i joined them i would get a free watch, hotel stay, or gas rebate slips (nothing in life is free, so watch out). He said that it is only ONE DOLLAR!!! For the first trial month and after that your c. C # gets billed $9.99 for each month after that. Of course it sounded like a good idea for me because i could of really used those, so called, free gas rebate certificates. I didn't join that stupid magazine offer, thankfully.

I did however give my credit card # to the guy (BAD IDEA), for two offers he said. One was a "critics choice package" and the other was something called, "G.E. Perfect getaway". He said that if i joined both that i would get sent $80, $40 for each package, of gas rebate certificates. What he said to do was to get a receipt from any gas station and send the reciept back in with the certificate and they would send you a check back for that amount of gas u spent, just for trying their program.

I thought to myself if was too good to be true but i couldn't pass up and offer for $80 worth of "free" gas. After all the operator's bullshit talking for about 30 minutes, they kept putting me on hold and transfering me to other employees of this scam company.

When i was done listening to them blabber on and on for this time i hung up the phone. Feeling kind of guilty for giving my credit card number out on the phone i decided to go online and research this so called "company". The funniest thing happened when i typed in "National Magazone Exchange" in the google search engine.

When the search was over the first thing my eyes saw was the name of the company NATIONAL MAGAZINE EXCHANGE and the words "fraud" and "scammers". I was notable shocked and pissed off that i gave my credit card number to these people which was a bad thing to do. So as soon as i saw this i called up my credit card company and told them to cancel my current credit card, the one i told them. Thankfully with the help of this website and my credit card company nothing extra was charged to my card. I noticed this in time to cancel before anything was charged to my card.

Now the national magazine exchange is going to be surprised to see that my number is cancelled when they try to bill all of their bullshit to my card.

My advice to anyone who gets this or anything like this in the mail, is if it sounds too good to be true it probably is, and to research the company on the internet before you give out your personal info. USE THIS WEBSITE, ITS VERY HELPFUL.

I wouldn't have found out about this if it wasn't for this site and how many people complained and all the scamming this company does. Hopefully this company will be shut down soon. Everybody who works for this company is a scammer and a prick for doing this to people, there is nothing no employee can say to defend themselves of these lies and cheats.
