The salesman for this company contacted us over the telephone stating he had a request from us for information regarding their products. This was the opening deception. We agreed to a trial amount of their Green Gobler sewer maintenance product. We stated that we did not want $350 worth of this material. He agreed to send a trial amount and would contact us in the spring to see if we wanted more. We paid for the trial amount and later received a phone call in which he said the original shipment was supposed to be in two buckets but one had been damaged in shipping and it would be resent.
He did not mention we were going to be billed for an additional amount. Undoubtedly, they have structured their wording to keep them out of court, but it doesn't obscure the fact that their sales methods are deceptive. We did not open the second bucket, but they would not allow us to return it. We had to agree to pay a lesser amount with a credit card to get them off of our back. So, we're stuck with more of this product than we will ever use and disappointment from dealing with a company that uses unscrupulous sales techniques.
