Hollister Clothing Store - Hollister cloting store

Hollister has the worse customer service I have ever experienced. After purchasing a couple of items and bringing them home I noticed that the security tag on one of the items had damaged the shirt and put a hole in the material when it was removed. Taking it back to the store in Old Orchard Skokie, IL I was told by the manager Meg, that they didn't have the size I needed and she couldn't do anything about it. She said I could pick out another color. Since the T I purchased matched the other item I bought, I found this answer to be unacceptable; she didn't even offer to call another store. Since the manager is a one dimensional thinker and clearly not trained in customer service I suggested she call the Oakbrook store. After waiting for 10 minutes she informed me that Oakbrook did not have the size I needed. I said "Welllllllll could you call another store?" After waiting another 10 minutes she came back to inform me that the Woodfield store had the T. I asked about mailing it to me and apparently in our hi-tech society Hollister does not have the resources to do that. And, I was told they can't hold the shirt for a day either, no guarantee that the shirt will be there the next day. "Are you kidding me I said what kind of customer service is this"... At this point the manager at Woodfield sensed my disgust and agreed to hold the shirt for the next day. I traveled about 20 miles to pick up the t-shirt and when my granddaughter put on the shirt and pants to wear to school the next day she found the sensor still on the pants. Since I was near the Oak Brook IL store I took the pants there with gift receipt and purchase receipt in hand. Apparently Adam who is the manager of the Oak Brook IL store refused to take the sensor off because he said he needed the tags to match up some numbers. He also said I should take the pants back to Old Orchard because he didn't leave the sensor on. After exchanges in dialog and him saying there is nothing he could do I left the store and found an 800 customer service number to call. With the representative on my cell I went back into the store and handed my phone to Adam. After a 15 minute conversation with the customer service representative and Adam... He took the sensor off. My suggestion to Hollister: You need to change your system in dealing with customers and employ a firm that can give real direction in customer service. If that is not an option then advertise a "No Customer Service Here" policy to the public so the customer at least will be warned.
