Promised grant funding for our compnay had me start a 501 c (3) and never returned calls or emails. Gave me the run around. Took 950.00 of my hard earned money

First American promised a grant for my female owned company in Illinois. I sent them 950.00 and a contract and they did nothing. They would not return my calls or emails and when I did get a hold of someone I got a total run around.
I then got a letter of resignation followed by an email from the owner? He said no worries you are in good hands we will take care of you. I have saved all the emails for future reference if needed.
To date I have gotten nothing. Was told by Feb 1 I would have funding. Thats after being promised by July then again in October
