A company known as E.S.B.I., Enhanced Billing Svcs Inc., is underinvestigation from theFTC, FCC and state atty generals offices across the country regarding this companies unauthorizedpracticeofsubmitting a monthly $14.95 service fee tocustomers phonebills as a 3rd party provider referred to by the phone companies as "cramming". I personallycontactedE. S.B.I. Requesting this practicebe discontinuedand clearly indicated i did not want their service. However my next next months bill had another $14.95 charge only this timeunder a new service provider, handled by E.S.B.I., called blvd network llc. A close inspection on-line of E.S.B.I. Shows they represent a number of businesses and each has the ability to add charges to your phone bill through E.S.B.I.
There are also a number of web sites devoted to the public outcry of consumers across the country that have been paying, unknowingly, this add-on fee before realizing they have been charged for unrequested and unauthorized services.
