As a new Clearlink employee, I’m compelled to report the company’s atrocious employee culture in hopes that others won’tfall prey to the young, hip execs who run this place. Beyond the genuine concern they display for everyone here—from seasoned employees to newhires—Clearlink’s powers-that-be regularly offer staffers free ski tickets, great seats for Jazz games, and opportunities to go wake-surfing. “Enough already! ” I want to shout. “Just crack the whip and tell me to work harder! ” But no such luck. Clearlink holds fast to its belief in a strong work-life balance, and work-aholics don’t fare well here. I’d write more—share more stories of Clearlink’s generous, joyful mistreatment of its employees—but I have to run; my boss is taking my entire team out for dinner.
