In December of David Tims at Horizon Electronics called me and asked if I could work at one of their customers sites for a down voice mail system. I said yes and they contracted me to go and do the work. After I was doing the work at the USMC Base in Joliet, IL. I sent Horizon the invoice.in March I received another call from David Tims at Horizon to go back to the USMC Base for a different problem. I told David that I would be happy to if they would pay me for the work done in December. David put me in touch with Andy who said he was the CFO of Horizon Electronics. Andy proceed to tell me "times are hard and customers aren't paying as fast as they were". I told him I could understand that and that I would work with him. I told him if he would agree to make payment on all work done and work to be done, that I would go do the job for him. He agreed and said he would send me $600 by the end of the week and the balance in two weeks. I went to the USMC Base and fixed their problem, then I sent Horizon the invoice. It is now January and after all my call, faxes and emails to try and collect payment, I still have not heard from anyone at Horizon Electronics. I talked to a couple of vendors in the same business that Horizon has done the exact same thing to. Lesson Learned! Do Not Do ANY Business with Horizon Electronics.
