I am so glad to have Ripoff to warn everybody about this conniving, manipulative woman that runs this career services in Illinois.
She found my resume on an Internet job search engine and contacted me saying she could help me find a great job in the Chicago area. At that time I was in deep financial trouble and a single mother of two young girls.
This woman invited me to her office in Schaumburg on a Saturday morning. I went with my youngest daughter and she did not let us leave until I signed a long agreement for $3,000 dollars.
She repeatedly said she will get you through the back door for interviews. That Saturday morning, I gave her $500 dollars as an initial payment. She did a resume makeup and sent me a huge package of standard letters samples and other job search information. Nothing I could not find by my self on the Internet.
Every time I called her to follow-up on her promises she will ask me for more money, until I gave her half of the total amount she demanded in her contract.
Atherton Consulting never sent me a single lead, never gave me personal assistance on my search, never advise a job campaign.in other words never did anything except for rewriting my resume and putting up excuses. Dont be fooled by Atherton's fancy office, her awards on the wall or her 20 years of success this woman is totally deceiving. She is not going to help you secure the job you want she is going to rip-off you.
