I hired Allstate Movers and Storage Co.in November. The move was set and confirmed for December 10th or 11th. I kept calling the person who set up the move regularly confirming and discussing any issues I may have had. Two weeks before the move I spoke with Ben again and all wason schedule. I gave theom a $200.00 deposit was all was booked. When it came to at least 1 week prior to move, I was able to contact Ben again and confirm. Then 3 to 5 days before I called again to make sure all was still well but when I tried calling him his number was no longer available. At first I thought it was me but I found out by trying several more times it was his phone which was unavailable. Then I tried contacting the customer service line at least 10 times a day. The voice mail states leave a message we will return your call, well I did that over and over. Again no answer or call back from anyone from that company. So I had to get on the phone and contact another moving company asap! Thank God I was able to book another company for that same time frame. On the dayof the move (with the other moving company) someone by Michele contacted me from Allstate Movers telling me that the move is still on and they will be arriving on Sunday the 13th to complete my move. I toldher you have got to be kidding! I also informed her how unsucessful I was trying to reach someone from her company to even find out if they were going to show up. She apologized to me and informed that she would refund mydeposit. Once I reached my destination with the new moving company, I contacted Michele. She stated I would recieve a refund within 48 hours. Well, now its been3 weeks waiting for my refund. When Ireached her againa week ago she stated that there is no money to credit you back and the company is going out of business due to some shady business by one of the owners. She also stated there are other clientsinvolved and she dosen't know when the funds will beaccessible!
