Phoned business to ask about rates. Was told a good rate. Drove out to rent a box. The owner then said that there is $10.00 for a key deposit. Okay. Normal. THEN he said that there is a $25.00 fee "for extra things." No idea what that meant, but I was rushed and said okay and didn't want to make trouble since he would be handling my mail. No free faxes as advertised. ("Those are for the bigger boxes.") So, although the rate was ten dollars per month for a small box, my charge for the first (AND LAST) three months was like $60 dollars.
No after hours mail pickup.
Only open two hours on saturday 10-12!!
Mail handling is insecure/unsafe. Larger parcels are often laid on the floor or on a publicly accessible shelf that everyone has access to. Often, the owner is not watching who comes in, who is taking mail, etc.
Owner was bothered that I canceled, so decided to keep my $10.00 key deposit ("You had too many parcels, i. E, books...).
I am out of there, and gladly. The owner, a Hindu gentleman, seemed nice enough, but was a tiger when it came to giving me back what he told me he would, or providing the services promised.
