Scam!
Your location will most likely get cleaned professionally, but the individual recruited by Patricia (Patty) to clean it may not get paid as in this case. I have seen this same type scam before in this area used at construction sites where an individual recruits people to perform a cleaning service and will pay them a few times after each job. Then after they get your confidence, they get you to clean a few locations over a few days or a week. They then collect the money from the contractor and vanish not paying the individuals doing the actual work.
Well, here it has happened with a so called cleaning service. A individual has done some work for Patricia Miller before and promptly paid. Over Veteran's Day week, the individual and her daughter cleaned a few locations and contacted Patty upon completion for payment. Patty stated she had to collect money from the owner/agency the following Monday before she could pay them. Calls were made Monday and Tuesday by the victims with no answer. On Tuesday, I was able to get a call returned only after I called from an unknown number to Patty's cell stating that I needed some cleaning.
The caller that returned the call claimed he was first a brother, and after a second returned called claimed to be a co-worker. Both times I explained that payment was required for service rendered or at least an reason for the delay of payment. He stated that he understood my concerns and would pass the word to Patty as soon as he saw her. Seems to me that he was screening the calls because in past, Patty would always answer the cell phone (Why not? It's her business!). The contact at the location of cleaning stated that they did pay Patty for the cleaning performed. It has now been over 3 weeks since the cleaning has been completed and we still have yet had any response from Patricia or her so called cleaning service.
Due to the lack of response from Patricia we no conclusion but to believe this was a scam.
