Renee Miller refuse to pay me after 4 weeks of working hard, cleaning houses and apartments. I really need a job because I have a 18 months old baby girl. I apply to a lot of jobs on the phone and workforce development or everywhere where there was an advertisement. Renee Miller called me on January 23rd desperate to hire someone to work for her. She interviewed me on the phone and told me that I was hire that I can start work the same day. She told me that I will be assigned to pair up with another person to go cleaning. I was happy to work and I have a partner name Patty. Patty do not drive so I have to drive my car. She told me to record my mileage and my hours and turned them in every week. I drove to every house even to Bennett about 25 to 35 miles out of Lincoln to clean houses. After all this time I asked Renee for my paycheck she told me that she will loan me money for the gas but I will be paid on Febuary 20th.
I was not worry because I have Patty with me and she told me everything will be ok. I asked Renee for my paycheck on the 20th and she told me that she will mailed it to me. I called her the following day to get my check she refused to let me have it she kept telling me it's in the mail. I quit my job and told her that my daughter need diapers and food she told me that I made her lost a contract because I did not show up to work and quit. To this day I checked my mail everyday but no check yet when I called her she avoid my call and did not answer the phone. Now I know why people quit and do not work for her because she ripped everyone off. She stole food for my child when she did not pay me. I hope someone or the better business bureau will do something about her business. Someone got to do something to help people like me that work hard but employer do not pay their employees.
