I have been a customer of Liberty Wireless since March 26. My contract expires March 26. Like every other person who has submitted a valid complaint against this unethical company, I too got involved through an internet offer. I have no complaint regarding service except that the phone was archiac and the agents that answer their phone lines have the collective I.Q. Of toothpaste and zero personality or sincereity to boot.
My phone was stolen October 18 and reported that day. My replacement phone was billed to my credit card October 19 for $94.34 (waaaay overpriced for an out of date Kyocera). Looking at the calendar it is now December 5.46 days without a phone or service. Guess What! Phone never shipped. Liberty cannot tell me a tracking number or a date or a method of shipping (".. Could be UPS Ground could be USPS could be Pony Express we don't know we just answer the phone. We have your money what do we care?"). Liberty has yet to credit my credit card account but guess what! I did get my monthly billing for $38.58 with a message that zero minutes limited and zero unlimited minutes have been used for the billing cycle October 18th through November 19th. Really Liberty Einsteins? Zero minutes cost me $132.92. What a great freakin deal!
I have filed a complaint with the Federal Communications Commission Form#475 and with the Better Business Bureau as well to help me retrieve $132.92. I sincerely hope the FCC fines these unethical jack nuts. I have just concluded a phone call at 12:48 P.M. That I began at 9:00 A.M. EST and after speaking to the most mentally challenged person I have ever spoken to yet at Liberty Wireless, Eury Cacdac and her supervisor, Ron. That's right, I refused to hang up.
I believe I may have actually made some headway with Ron but after holding and arguing and rehashing from 9:00 A.M.-12:58 P.M. (4hrs), Ron disconnected our call with me on hold. Typical non service from Liberty. Ron was promising me an estimated time of arrival of my credit onto my credit card account for $132.92. When you call any of these people are unprofessional, scared of you and basically your intellectual inferior.
I encourage everyone and anyone to file individual complaints with the FCC on-line or by phone, and with the Better Business Bureau of Maryland as well, against InPhonic d.B. A Liberty Wireless. The links are below and so are the phone numbers. It is free, painless and it is well worth your time. Maybe we can get them shut down or heavily fined.
I can only hope that the FCC will protect taxpayers from Liberty Wireless and InPhonic's very unethical and illegal company practices. I wish I had stumbled accross the Rip-Off website before agreeing to do business with this company. They also are planning on billing me $150 for cancelling my contract and going with another carrier despite the fact they breached our contract by never provideding a cell phone they billed me for or service they keep billing me for tp this day! I had no choice but to go through a local carrier and my experience thus far with At&t Wireless has been exceptional.
I will do anything and everything I can to keep consumers who work hard for their money informed of why they should never do business with these calculating thieves!
