I phoned Broadview Security to cancel my alarm service because I was moving out of my home. The service was disconnected on October 28th, even though I had informed them via email several days earlier, thinking my account would not be drafted for the upcoming month and a few days in October. However, on October 26th my account was drafted for the next month's service.
I called and inquired about a refund for the money they took out of my account for the next month of November. I was told the company does not give refunds or prorate charges. I was surprised, dissappointed, and angry that they had taken my money without providing any service in return.
Originally I signed up with Brinks Security 3 years ago, but sometime this year was informed Broadveiw Security had taken over, and now ADT is the security company. I never received any notification from them pertaining to their policies or procedures.
This is a total ripoff to customers! How do they justify taking or keeping a customer's money when they are not providing any service?
