I agreed to let my husband hire his high school friend to photograph our wedding. We paid her $1600, the entire amount of the event up front. Two days before the wedding she called to say she would not make it, and did not have a replacement. We had to scramble for a last minute photographer who cost almost as much on short notice. After the wedding we called Christy to ask if she would refund the amount since she bailed on the wedding. She didn't answer our calls, or emails. SHe closed down her website and disappeared. I found her recently on twitter, still working in New York and holding herself out as a photographer. We filed with the BBB, but they could not track her down either. We can't sue her in small claims court because we can't find her. She is untrustworthy and unethical. Buyer beware.
