This website is complete bird poop! First off, its a scam. A model uploads her photos, which are not even locked safely on the site and can be taken and placed anywhere online. MM has a HUGE history of issues with their moderators (people who have nothing else to do all day but help "govern the site"). These mods are also members, making it very hard for them to make judgement on many complaints made. The history of this site banning, or kicking off, its members for ridiculous reasons is quite thick. A photog who does not get a long with a mod? You are banned. A model who has turned down an offer to shoot with a mod for a non paying job, or for any reason at all? Your banned. Make a complaint of abuse in a public forum about a, many times sadly, out right dangerous member who stalking, attacking, or harrassing the model or other members? Your banned. You found someone has stolen your images from MM after paying good money for your photo hosting online? MM does not care, and if you complain or point this out to other member in public forum... Guess what? Your banned. And when you are banned, you do not get your money back, no matter how silly hte reason is. I am wondering if this is the main scam this site has? With its history of kicking paying members off without even sending a reason, could it be they do this to TAKE your money? If you want a photo hosting site that is safe and secure for yourself and your images, Model Mayhem is NOT the way to go. MM says it does not allow illicit activity on their site. Yet, one can quickly find "models" who are underage and naked, escort agency's galore, and your basic prostitute. Need a photographer? Skip the MM. The site is loaded with GWC and your basic perv men.in fact, MM has a history of hooking up predators with "models". Rapes have occurred, even deaths, due to this site. Again, do not blame this on the net... There are tons other sites that do the same job as MM does and does not have the terrible crime with it. The moderators on this site seem to young and unprofessional to be the ones to decide who is legit and who is a nutball pervert! The models, though many look great, are not your actual professional models... So if your in need of someone hire-able and professional, again, i would pass up the ModelMayhem.com. At best, these are young girls who want someone to take pics of them and then call themselves "models". Most seem to be the rejects of the modeling community. So i suppose if you want to waste your money and place your photos on a website that does not uphold the safety of your images, or of its members itself, this is the way to go. If you want to be scammed and give them your money, then good for you! But if you have tons of money to shoot down the toilet, maybe give it to a charity. If you want to be part of a site that does not hold your best interests, care how you feel, oppresses your freedom of free thinking and your ability to state your opinions on photography or modeling, and you desire to pay escorts for pictures or get your photo taken from some scum bag freak for free, then this IS the place to be! I will pass.
