I had been a member of Model Mayhem for years and a new group of moderators was appointed.
These moderators appear to have their own agenda as to what the site is about.
I had also be a member of the LIST for years, which was a group of photographers that commit to provide free services to new models.
I have always recruited new or up and coming models for free four-day portfolio shoots here in Pittsburgh. All of a sudden it was claimed that my contacting them was "soliciting" when I was simply offering these free services to the model. I make NO charges whatsoever, nor do I make any money off of the shoot, such as selling to stock companies, selling privately or using them as editorial shots.
I was at first removed from "The List" and then removed from the site completely. Over the years I have shot approx. 120 models from Model Mayhem. Now new and up and coming models are denied the experience. Yet, the site allows for porn recruitment, erotic art recruitment, and professional production companies in the adult industry to have both a profile as well as recruit.
The owner Tyler has never responded to my requests for his intervention.
