I full boarded there about 8 years ago... I have owned my super easy keeper gelding for over 10 years and have never had issues with low weight in fact hes fat most of the time... When we boarded there it was the only time I ever had him too thin and he was full board! Another reason why we left so early was I came only on weekends as I lived far away... One week I dropped in the middle of the week to find my super neat in his stall gelding in total urine soaked stall, my leadrope had gotten pulled in his stall an you could wring out at least a couple of cup fulls of his urine out of it... I had to throw it out... When I stripped his stall and replaced the bedding I got yelled at... The last thing that was brought to my attention was I paid Mitch to have my horse worked 1 hr a week on wednesdays... All the poor over worked to the point of tears help informed me he was never worked at all eventhough I paid for it... Needless to say I left as soon as I could find a new barn!!! I have since been to the farm this past summer, and have found that the care of their own horses and full boarders have gone to the point of gross neglect. Hip points, tail heads, ribs sticking out, manure covered horses, stalls, and paddocks (knee deep on most). No water, if they do have water its green an full of duck manure!!! The worst hay I have ever seen and I never see the horses have any in front of them. Horses left in stalls 24/7 and in the dark. Major safety issues with allot of the turouts rusted metal buildings with sharp edges. Lots of unkept hoofs. Cats running around looking sickly and I mean Sickly!!! Dogs boarded there in stalls in the barn all day barking non stop looking very very upset, nobody checks in to care for them as advertised, and cats dont stand a chance as their private dogs have killed cats... Their cat and dog boarding is listed as "Dog N Cat kennel" Do not board any animal there for any reason if you love your animals!!!
