Franchise Authority is one of many franchise consulting firms touting that they will teach "future consultants" how to purchase leads, and then close folks on purchasing a prospective franchise business. All franchises come from The Franchise Authority's inventory list of companies that the Franchise Authority has prearranged fees set up so that upon closing the potential client you may recieve anywhere from 1,000.00- all the way up to 50,000 in fees once they committ to the franchise you proposed.
Firstly Mr. King will bring a monkey on board if they have the 14,995. To take the course from home with training being given by an older gentleman who does a horrible job of communicating the nuances of the franchise business. Basically tells you how to skate around the potential clients questions to make yourself sound more important and impressive than you are. The material is shoddy, poor on content, and extremely rudimentary as anyone with common sense could have read this material from a comparable book in their local library and gotten what they needed. The trainer was lifeless, not a help at all, never called to check on me to see how I was progressing and then to top it off after giving me tests never called me to tell me how I did or showed any interest in me completing the program.
Mr. King leads you to believe that using his reccomended lead source will bring you much success as this source charges upwards of 20.00 per lead and many many of the leads are unqualified folks playing around on their computers which you may have been the fifth call they received from rehashed leads the King lead source is supplying. The leads are web based and naturally only one way to prospect but they are extremely poor in quality and it would appear Mr. King gets decent portion of the monies you have supplied the lead source with.
Kings inventory list is rarely updated and many of the franchisors and business opportunites have either withdrwan their association with the Franchise Authority or lowered their referral fees to consultants so much it is practically a waste of your time representing the people interested in the opportunity.
Mr. Kings support is non exisesnt as once he gets your 14995. You will never hear from him and if you should G-d forbid you bring up anything disagrreable to his beliefs or on improving the training or program. Mr. King is in this business to collect 14,995 from anybody, and then send you shoddy lifeless material to work with.
Stay away and if really interested in pursuing a career as a franchise consultant contact those franchises you are interested in representing directly and build a relationship, put it in writing and begin. This is a total waste of chasing your tail all over the place with absolutely horrible results. There are many that feel the same way and have found this to be a complete and utter waste of time.
No guaranteed territories, no ongoing training, no list ever received of all members of TFA after asking King five times, no help, no assistance, a complete and utter waste of money and time.
Franchise Authroity is only an authority in wasting your time.
