I purchased a pool from my local walmart store on june 12 for my two sons who are 3 and 6 for their birthday. One week later there is a rip in the seam of the pool so i call the number on my walmart receipt where i had purchased a two year warranty and they told me that they would not cover the pool until after 09/11/10 due to it still being covered under the manufacturers warranty and they gave me the number to call them which is intex corp. I called them in august and filed a claim and they told me to cut out 3 parts of the pool which was a 6x6 inch square of the pool floor the drain valve and the intex logo on the outside wall of the pool which i did. I just got around to sending the parts back on 10/14/10 due to being a working mother of 2 and a wife to a husband battling cancer i don't have much time to do anything. So i called on 10/14/10 to change my shipping address from my home address to my work address and thats when they preceeded to tell me it was too late that they had to have it within 90 days of purchase which no one told me until this day if they had of when i filed the claim i would have made sure it was mailed within the 90 days. So i call n.E. W who is the carrier of my 2year warranty and i tell her what happens and they won't cover the pool either because they say it is preexisting and should be covered by the manufactor so here i am with 2 little disappointed boys whos birthday present sucked and a devasted mom who has no money to replace on my own that was the purpose of purchasing a warranty.
