CTC Career Transition Centers ripoff Misleading Job Interview

After posting my resume on Monster.com, I receive a phone call from Bill Mason from Career Transition Center, Inc.in Phoenix AZ. (a.K.A. CTC) I am told that a company has a position available, and Bill Mason would like to interview me for the position. I arrive at Career Transition Center, Inc.in Phoenix where I am presented with a questionnaire requesting information on whether I own my own home, number and age of children, and other irrelevant financial questions. I decide to skip this part and proceed to meet with Bill Mason for my interview. During the so-called interview, Bill proceeds to show me a "secret book of jobs" which lists unpublished employment positions which they have filled. Upon looking at the pages shown to me, I noticed all the jobs are nowhere near being current, as the dates were shown on each listing. Bill the proceeds to draw an elaborate picture with pen and paper of how Career Transition Center works. Not once during his presentation did he ask ANY questions relevant to a job interview. When he finishes, I began to ask questions which Bill has no idea or information about. I asked how many listing they receive a year, how many placements they complete in a year. Bill spits out "70%". 70% of what? He is not interested in answering any of my questions further, which I believe is suspicious. At the end of the fictitious interview, I am told that R.G. "Rick" Davis would like to conduct a second interview. (there was no 1st interview).

After putting up with enough of this nonsense, I decide to leave and investigate Career Transition Center on the internet. Much to my surprise, I found numerous complaints on usacomplaints.com, The Department of Labor, http://phoenix. Citysearch.com, as well as 2 complaints filed with the Better Business Bureau. Upon digging deeper, I found what I believed to be information about numerous lawsuits filed against this company and R.G. "Rick" Davis. My investigation also turned up the fact that they charge in the ball park of $5,000.00 for their services.

Needless to say, I called and canceled the so-called 2nd interview. Unfortunately, they continue to contact me.
