Enployment One
Scam

I lost my job as Operations Manager for a large company and was looking for a change of pace. My boyfriend saw an ad in the paper for a Legal Assistant; I responded to the phone number listed in the ad and reached Employment One's Warren Office.

The woman I spoke to talked to me on a level that led me to believe that the services, at a cost, would be rendered on a one-to-one basis, and that they could place me in a new job based on my experience and education. I told the woman that Warren was quite the drive for me; she then referred me to their Taylor office.

A few days later I made an appointment and went to the Taylor office skeptical of the service. Once there I immediately realized that the entire service and company was much different than I had imagined and the woman I spoke with, via phone, at their Warren Office had obviously deceived me. I should have immediately walked out given the circumstance of deception and the fact that the woman asking me for money could not even give me an estimated percentage of employment gained through their company.

As of today I have been subscribed to the service for 4 months and am yet to see a job opening that fits my skill, education, and experience. However, they do have many general labor openings, but the woman should have informed me of the fact that they carry very few Administrative Positions. Additionally when I have called their office to get information about a job, (which did not fit my profile), they never answered the phone. Michigan Talent Bank is much more efficient and is free, plus it carries a wide variety of employment opportunities.

All employers and job seekers take heed to my warning; consumers allow this company to remain in business, do not use their services, their praying on our fallen economy, taking advantage of our unemployed workers. I saw a woman cry during her application process to Employment One, stating that the cost of the service was her entire unemployment check and she had no money, the manager proceeded to convince her that the spent money would pay off in the long run. I should have walked out the door right then and there. Employment One is a scam for employers and job seekers, the only party that wins is Employment One. Do not use their service.
