Complaint / review text:
At the Jessamine County "Humane" Society in Nicolasville, Kentucky, dogs are being euthanized when there are good homes available.
The person in charge may have started out as a friend to homeless animals, and then became burned out. But at this time the person refuses most applications for adoption and upon checking back, the dogs are put down.
Yes, I know, it's unbelieveable. Her rules are so strict, there is no way most loving homes can accomondate. If you live within 20 feet of any street, you cant adopt. If you dont have a certain amount of yardage, you cant adopt. Your fence must be so high, completely enlosed, or you cant adopt. It goes on and on.
Many people are responsible dog owners that don't have these requirements. The dogs suffer, because they are killed by lethal injection when out of the ten homes that applied all ten were turned down. Check it out yourself.
