Me and my two kids age 2 and 7 went to that fish place, where the spca had some animals to adopt. We went in to see them, the one that we liked growled it looked like a pitbull. I said to the girl there that i can not believe you would bring an animal like that here. She told us that we where wrong and that she was just talking that was her way, i said okay can we see her and i filled out an adoption questionair. We went in to see the dog they covered the other dog up. I didn't think anything of it ask the story of the dog, was told that the dog had skin problems and that the own couldn't afford to treat but it was being taken care of also ask if she was good with kids. I was told she is vary good no bite history vary playful and good with dogs. I called and asked more questions and was told that she was fostered and the she was a good dog and that the only this that she didn't like cats, don't have one not a problem. II made a trip to lanster from york and was told that i needed to do an adoption profile in it asks you what type of dog, answered playful good with kids for companion and i have dog, they told me that i can't adopt until the two dogs meet. I went home and the next day i went back with my two kids and my dog. After about twenty minuted of the dogs sniffing butts. They told me i can adopt her, go see the person at the desk and see will take care the adoption i kept asking questions and they told me not one time did they ask me to read the adption profile not that i even know there was one or that they even did that. I proceeded to leave with our new kid loving best friend, as i was walking out the door they stopped me and said here is the rest of the information. We went home we gave the dog a bath, found out the dog doesn't like water, then the kids and the neibor kids took her for walks and played, i went in to make supper and read the information and how to give meds. Thats when i found a dog profile sheet filled out by the foster person, in it said that the dog was a pitbull not a mutt and that the dog was recieved from criag's list that there was no past history if dog was surrendered then why was that, it also said that the dog is vary good and loving and that it dislikes kids and that with other dogs it growls and want to go after them. Why did i fill out a paper for the dog if they didn't care about my kids and there safety
