Lighthouse newfoundlands is to be avoided... I see the postings here, and just wanted to tell you about my experience. I bought a puppy who showed a heart murmer... And dispite all we could do, ultimately died. I called these people and she seemed angry and didn't want to accept the diagnosis. I had my vet send the cardio study. She grudgingly said she would replace the puppy... I contacted her periodically for four months, and finally got another puppy... Would you believe, this one had the same Problem! When I called Lisa Martens, she was furious... She actually cursed at me. She said I was fabricating vet reports to get free puppies. We certainly did not want this to happen. We had spent 1800 for the first puppy and hundreds in vet bills, and now this! She fairly railed at me, cursing and screeming. She said she "did not replace the replacement" and that was the end of it... So we learned a hard lesson. If she had just been nice about we would have understood whatever she said. WE did n't deserve to be cursed at. Since then we have heard from several individuals who have had underweight puppies, and puppies with heart conditions. One party had to sue... I would not recommend this breeder...
