We was recently contacted via Craigslist by "Prattville Auctions" for a condo that we are selling in the Boston area. "Prattville Auctions" made a ridiculously low offer ($130,000 under asking price) and when we responded to his e-mail with a few choice words that his offer was not being considered, "Prattville Auctions" responded by using my first name which was not listed in the add and threatened to forward the e-mail to some of our old neighbors.
At that point, we conducted some research and found that "Prattville Auctions" was owned by Jacob Resnek who had already been to and looked at our condominium last year and someone that I had actually spoken to about purchasing the condo before it was listed. Mr. Resnek made no mention of this during his initial e-mail instead choosing to utilize his "Prattville Auction" e-mail address in what can only be considered as being deceiptful.
Furthermore, in viewing this site we found that "Prattville Auctions" was the subject of several consumer complaintss regarding illegitimate phone sales. Though we were not "ripped off" by this person, we want to make others aware of this company and Mr. Resnek and to take serious caution when dealing with him and to practice their extreme due diligence before entering into any business relationship with "Prattville Auctions" or Mr. Resnek.
