Equifax scam ripoff

I just ran into the most amazing scam related to Equfax! I tried to cancel my new Equfax online service after signing up for a free trial. On the website it gave NO INFORMATION on how to cancel your free trial. So you call them. I love talking to people in India who can barely understand me (but they are very courteous so it's just frustrating). But then they wanted to ask me a lot of questions, such as my social security number, which I gave them. Then they were asking me about the amount of my mortgage from five years ago, which I could only remember it was roughly 450,000. As I didn't have the exact amount the person said there was nothing they could do, even after I answered the "secret questions", my login ID, address, SSN, full name, date of birth, and mother's maiden name. After all that they still refused to cancel the account. So I called back and spoke to another man who's English was worse than the first, but he was very nice. He read many things to me from some script he had, and I patiently listened to all the ads, and I just kept nicely repeating that I just wanted to cancel the account.

He started to ask me the same mortgage questions after all the other questions again, and he couldn't understand why I did not know my mortgage amount to the penny from five years ago. So I tried to call the Corp. HQ in Atlanta at 404.885.8000. The young woman who answers the phone was obliviously used to dealing with difficult people, her attitude was terrible right from the word "hello". She said outside calling India there was nothing I could do. I asked for the CEO's office or someone in charge of the folks in India. No luck. So all I can do is tell my credit card company that Equfax refuses to cancel my free trial. Equfax should make it easy for customers to cancel the free online trial of their services.instead they make it very hard. They are victimizing older Americans, like my mom, who had the same experience and gave up trying to cancel the service. Many people sign up for this trial service through online companies offering this or that free, and it's all a scam. Equifax must know this because an Google search found thousands of complaints. When I call a company it would be nice if their customer service people could understand English and speak it with some competence.
