I replied to an ad on Craigslist from a guy named Derek. He needed someone to hang his company flyers on doors. The deal was that I would be paid $7.50 per hour for hanging flyers and $25 commission for each sale the flyer produced.
Pay for the flyers was to be paid daily. Commissions, when the sale for service was closed.
Sounds good doesn't it? I checked out the company on the internet prior to doing any work and didn't find anything earthshaking so I and my partner delivered 600 flyers door to door. Now for the scam...
You use your gas and your cell phone (to stay in contact with Derek) and get nothing in return. Unless... You are willing to chase your money. Derek will make every excuse in the world not to pay you. He will have you waiting in parking lots to receive your pay and not show up. Dereks attempt to elude me got me going and what I found out about this guy is not pretty.
