David Lederer of the firm Lederer & Nojima in Los Angeles failed to adequately represent me after I was rear ended by another driver in an auto accident. My accident occurred on Sept 23
His mistakes were:
(July) Not telling me that my case was being investigated by the other driver's insurance company for fraud. David had his assistant Natalie tell me to come in to the office to meet the other driver's insurance company because they had a few simple questions to ask before settling my case. I go to his office that morning and find it empty. It turns out that they had moved since my last visit. I frantically call the office number and am given directions to the new office. After finding it, I am greeted by David who takes me into a room and tells me my case is being investigated for fraud. I was stunned to say the least. Then, we go and meet the other driver's insurance rep, who is actually an investigative agent.
(Feb) I do my own research and find out that my medical bills from the accident were over $100,000. Then, I find out that because my bills were more than the value of the other driver's insurance policy, 100k, it triggered an investigation. My former attorney, David Lederer, did not try to negotiate lower medical bills for me.in fact, he told me that the other driver had a $300,000 insurance policy, which proved to be another deceptive piece of information from David Lederer.
(July) Remember when I went into the office and found out about the investigation? Well, inside David's office on a table were several bottles of hard liquor such as scotch and vodka along with glasses and an ice bucket. Apparently, hard drinking on the job at Lederer & Nojima is all in a day's work. Disgusting.
Meanwhile, it has almost been 2 years since my accident and I'm still in pain daily and hourly. Each day is a huge effort to stay focused despite the pain. This is as good as it gets for me. But for you out there, it will stay as good as it is for you if you avoid David Lederer of Lederer & Nojima.
