Direct tv are a bunch of liars! When I signed up for their service in November I made it clear, that I was moving in 6-7 months and that I only wanted temporary service and was not willing to sign any contracts for 2 years. Direct TV told me that was fine and I would not be charged when I called to cancel the service. Now, they want to charge me for a 2 year contract, told me they have my credit card and social security number and want to charge me $400.00. I am reporting them to the better business bureau. They have lied about everything and in the very fine print is their 2 year contract terms. Yet they lie to you to get you to sign up with them. All I wanted was month to month service and I would have gone with Cox instead. I refuse to pay them and will be reporting this everywhere.
Never do business with dtv - they are a bunch of liars and hold you hostage for services and overcharge you for crappy services.
