I had this company contracted to buff and seal my hardwood floors, but when he began the job, he found out he needed to sand them and refinish. I agreed to this. He also said he could fill the gaps as they were about 1/8 inch, but uniform throughout the floor. The owner did the job, but he failed to fill all the gaps, leaving spots throughout the room in which some of the gap in the length of board was filled, but other areas were open. The result was a "splotchy" looking floor. There was also a glossy area about 6 inches by 2 inches in the center of the dinning room floor. The finish was satin so there should be no glossy areas. I immediately expressed my dissatisfaction and the owner agreed to come back and fill in the gaps. He did, but only did a few of them, leaving many throughout the dinning and living room floors. He told me that he would only fill the gaps in the open, where no furniture sits. I thought that this was laziness at the time and it proved to be the case. When asked why he didn;t complete the job, he gave several excuses, including "it's the best I can do." He also left stain all over my baseboards, his careless use of equiptment left scratches on my doorways and walls, and dust throughout the rooms, even though he uses "dustless" equipment. I contact 3 other flooring places, and sent photos of the areas to one of the experts who has 20 years of experience. All of them agree that the problem is with shoddy workmanship. I refused to pay the balance and Alex got upset, hanging up the phone and walking out of my house. He demonstrated a lack of control and professionalism. He was unreasonable and would not settle for less. He then threatened several times to sue me and put a lein on my home, utlimately forcing me to pay him even though he didn't complete the job and did poor quality work. Their website states: "Our goal is to maintain a reputation that is dependable, punctual, and treats each of our hardwood flooring projects as if they were our very own floors. Perfectly detailed, delivering beautiful hardwood floors to our customers." I wish I had this experience, but working with this company was a nightmare.
