I called these movers I got their ad off KIJIJI so right away I should have known better, the ad said 40 hr for 2 men with a 16ft truck. I called to make sure it was ONLY 40. Hr for the 2 men and he confirmed yes, I then asked and "that's it right?" he then confirmed " yes" this was NOT true. They show up at my house to move me and hand me a contract which is fine but told me i was only signing off on the address being correct and to give them the address to drop off the items then on the 2nd page it was a contact. I read it and 1st of all it was. 40 cents a km on top of the 40hrly charge which I was NOT told they asked me for a $350.00 deposit, and then it just got to be a joke, I also told them on the the e mail originally its one basement apt to another basement apt. Now its $20.00 per man per stair case so right there is an extra $80.00. Plus now its $20.00 per man per HEAVY ITEM, what a JOKE!!! So my move which should of been 80.00 I had next to nothing to move just large items like a wall unit and a bed, tv, 1 sm desk. Would have been almost 500.00 to 700.00 dollars I was NOT told about any of these extras over the e mails confirmation OR on the phone conversations we had prior. Now I am not a dumb girl I always check every angle of any installation, movers, etc so I know all the costs involved plus I know the right questions to ask... I asked the right questions and as lied top, Now i was upset and i tore up his contract he started to yell at me and tell me he needs it for his boss so they can right "cancel" on it. So I gave him the reaming piece and wrote cancel myself he got more aggressive in his towards towards me until I had kick him out. BEWARE of these men THEY WILL take you for a ride.
