Job scam

LionHeart Assurance contacted me through my online resume through Careerbuilder.com I drove 75 miles from Austin to San Antonio, thinking it was a legit interview for an insurance company.

Once I got there there were 2 other people there, both females, including myself. I was the only one wearing a Suit so that was my first tip off.

John Givens then goes on to give his long a* one hour speech about the company and what they do. It was basically a lecture on identity and not really what they do or what I would be doing there. Finally after he last slide he goes on to talk more specifically about the job. He states that applicants must pay $150 for (background check, State of Texas License and then a fee for being enrolled in what they do) and the training is unpaid.

Also you basically are working from home, using your own car and trying to sell their service. YOU are the business. HA, and the most comical part of that they estimated the average employee there (whoever is stupid enough to actually go through with this) that they will be making $153,000 the first year.

I was like wow, you sure as hell don't look like YOU make and money close to that! At the end we were sort of awkwardly asked if we were still interested and I said no and left.
