I noticed this came through Careerbuilder so I forwarded the email to [email protected] for possible scam.
The security team responded back via email that the 'header' info was not forwarded and they couldn't help me.
In a 2nd email, they advised this email did not come from the CB site and that it appeared to be a scam.
This confused me as there was CB employer member info at the bottom of the email. I entered the Lionheart name into the CB search options and it yielded multiple jobs on the Careerbuilder site. All with the same logo as lionheartassurance.com
I clicked on a position to find "BBB Accredited Business" Logo on the job description page.
Next, I researched the BBB National database for Lionheart Assurance and found 5 addresses throughout the country. Checking each, all revert back to the same website. The one in TX is the one with the A rating for Insurance of Employee Benefits. However no accredidation for any other state and no listing in CA. (where I live)
The insurance commisioner website for each state listed yielded 'no results' when searching the databases.
Through research, I've found this is as being an MLM company. The problem I have is this company is rated A in the BBB Database as an Insurance company of Employee Benefits. This is not only misleading but fraudulent. Let them be MLM but insert the word 'insurance' and many tend to trust that you're licensed and legit. Not so.
I've filed a complaint with BBB, the CA Insurance commisioner as well as TX. I'll update what I find.
