Consumer Research Group - CRG2000
CRG They really thought we were stupid!

My husband recieved a check in the mail for $2,680.00 from a company by the name of CRG (Consumer Research Group) dated 11/30.. They were claiming to be a mystery shopping company.

The gave specific details on what to do with the money, and one of the instuctions was to wire a large amount of it through Western Union. Here is the breakdown of the check they sent that are susposed to bearing the required funds for "the project"

1. Participation Pay $300.00

2. Western Union evaluation assignment $2,735.00

3. Service Fee charged by Western union $175.00

4. Retail Shop evaluation assignment (You keep the purchased goods) $150.00

If you can do math you can see that the total amount is $3,360.00 The check was only $2,680.00... Are they stupid or what?

The check looked very authentic, I MEAN VERY!!! We talked about it and went back and forth about whether or not we should cash it and participate.
