Sent me a check for $3,900.00 and directed me to cash the check, shop at specific stores and send them a western union

I check in the amount of $3,900.00 and a letter telling me that i had been chosen to participate in a paid consumer research program. I was to spend $100.00 at Wal-Mart, Sears, Lowes, or Best Buy and fill out a shoppers evaluation form, send $3,350.00 to a certain person by Western Union (they of course paid the Western Union fee of $150.00), and i was allowed to keep $300.00 for my "probation training pay".

I immediatly knew that this was a scam. I went on line and came across this website. I was unable to find anything on line regarding these companies and am afraid that someone will receive a letter like this and unlike me, they will go and cash this check and be scammed out of thousands of dallors.
