First of all, the other two reports on this company were excellent, and so very true.
I didn't even get to "first base" w / Diet Divas and Paula Altare. After receiving the "personalized" diet plan, I was so horrified that I spent even a dime on it, I wrote an email and asked for my money back. Ms. Altare was rude and intimidating - saying there were no refunds. I ended up disputing the charge with my credit card company and have so far prevailed.
Foolish me, though - in preparation for receiving the diet plan (and because they say you have to use their products for it to work), I ordered over $100 worth of their products. After receiving the diet plan, I wrote an email asking to cancel that order. Diet Divas totally ignored me, went ahead and charged my credit card, and mailed the products the following week. When the package arrived, I called UPS and told them that I was refusing delivery - they came and picked it up and it was returned to Diet Divas. BUT, of course, I did not get refunded on my credit card - I am disputing that charge with my credit card company as well.
Additionally, I sent a letter to the Consumer Protection Dept in Clearwater, FL to complain about this company. The "resolution" for my complaint was a big zero because Ms. Altare refused to cooperate or participate in a mediation of my complaint. Nice for her that she can simply tell customers/agencies to take a leap - she doesn't have to answer for any of her shady business practices and terrible customer relations. I'd like to know why the Florida AG's office or some other responsible agency hasn't investigated this business and shut it down.
I intend to pursue a complaint regarding a violation of my privacy when they provided my medical information to a third party (in their response to the Consumer Protection Dept) - my medical information was not at issue in my complaint and I did not authorize its release to anyone. Diet Divas violated their own privacy policy and obviously have absolutely NO business savvy or competent/educated employees to advise them on legal and customer issues.

Oh, and the reason I chose Diet Divas? I saw their advertisement on thebreastcancersite - I wrote to the breastcancersite and told them how terrible this company is but I never received a response. I hope they will delete this company from their advertising boards.
