This is the worst residental management company ever. I am currently living at the Creekside at Legacy apartments in Plano, TX. Since this company has taken over the complex the following additional charges have been rolled into our agreements: 1) annual charge of $25 for pest control (whether you use it or not); 2) increase in the water and trash bills; 3) additional MONTHLY charges for colored paint on the walls, optional wooden floors, optional black appliances, optional wooden window blinds. I have been asking the on-site management since I've been here (5 years now) when we'll be able to pay with credit cards or pay online. I was happily surprised to find out that starting this month we would have this privilege. GREAT! I thought! That is until I found out that Milestone Management will charge you an additional $35... THIRTY FIVE dollars to pay online or with a credit card. I have a personal business and know many small business and corporate business owners and NEVER have I heard of such outrages charges. So I called the company that is handling the processing for the CC charges (OCIUS) to find out just what the heck is going on. Although they wouldn't give me the exact amount they assured me that the $35 charge Milestone Mgt is charging is GREATLY inflated. OCIUS explained that they charge very small fees (typically $1 or $2 per transaction). So the additional inflation is being tacked on by Milestone. I really like my apartment. I feel the rent is reasonable for the amentities and the overall community is desirable. However... I am greatly concerned about the direction MM is taking us. I'm noticing more and more unsavory characters moving in as well as more lapses in how they are tending to the grounds. Also, it seems that when you break the rules of the lease agreement that all one need do is pay the fine (continuously) so the mgt won't enforce the limitations of the lease agreements.
So, I strongly advise that anyone thinking of renting an apartment be sure to find out if the corp mgt is Milestone. If it is, look elsewhere. This company has no good intentions toward clients.
