This company sent me a direct mail letter soliciting their services to obtain a copy of the deed to my home. While this "service" is not illegal, it is extremely overpriced. Owners of real property may obtain copies of deeds from their local registrar of deeds. The cost of the copies varies depending upon you location, but I would estimate the costs would not exceed $5 - $10 for most private home or land owners. If you are reading this consumer complaints, I assum you have internet services and access. Simply use a search engine, such as Google, Bing, or Ask to locate the address or telephone number for the registrar of deeds in your county or parrish and contact them to see how much a copy of your deed would cost you. Lucky you if you read this before you order a copy from National Deed Services, Inc. You probably saved over fifty bucks, and better yet, you probably kept your name off of some "sucker" address list the company might compile for sale to other miscreant service companies. Thank you.
