After Hurricane Ivan in our house was destroyed. We hired Spurlin Construction to rebuild our house. They claimed their subs were ready to go to work and could start immediately. There were no subs and the ones they hired did a terrible job. A month after starting and stripping our house down to the studs, they started to do the sheetrock. The work was inferior. Another month went by and then everything stopped. We had already paid them 50K and they wanted more money to continue. Another few months went by with no work, so we took them to court and got a judgment against Spurlin Construction. The company went under and filed bankruptcy. So as of 9 March we have not been able to collect a nickel. Eddie Spurlin is still in the panhandle of Florida scamming people, I have had contact with the State's Attorney in this First District regarding his actions. Please be careful and do not do business with this crook.
