Central Florida's WFTV has released an accurate article on the continued scam. Even if you cancel within 30 days, you can expect to be charged $79.95. I know because it happened to me. I cancelled approx 1-1/2 weeks prior to the deadline, via email and on the 31st day (coincidence? Not!) I receive an email from them that they just got my cancellation and will process it. I call my bank and sure enough they imposed a charge of $79.95 against my account causing it to bounce. They said they would not refund the bounced check fees but guess what? They did, only after I filed complaints with BBB, FTC, FBI Internet Fraud, Dept of Consumer Affairs (Florida) and the fraud bureau.
Fortunately, I had saved my email showing the date I cancelled. The deliberately hold cancellations until after the 30 days is up! I have written documentation from them regarding my complaint and they admit there was a delay due to "BACK OFFICE PROBLEMS AT THE TIME"
Bull!
They continue to do this to people and they continue to sit there and say that they have never charged anyone that cancelled within the free trial period. Rather funny, when I have letters from them where they admitted doing it.
Beware when ordering your credit report from Experian.com because they now own this free credit report scam and it is linked on their website. Need confirmation that this is an experian company? Go to the source. Www.consumerinfo.com, under "ABOUT US" -ConsumerInfo.com is an Experian company.
