I am unemployed and have gotten numerous emails "Thanking me for applying", then telling me in order to proceed, I must submit a credit report to be considered for the job.
If you do not cancel within a certain time, you are charged for this "FREE" credit report. They figure many people won't see the fine print or will forget to cancel.
Watch out for this - if you order the report - be sure to cancel right away - and keep track of when you cancel. Then be sure to watch for any charges on your card.
The real SCAM is that there is NOT really a job available - this is a scam to get you signed up so they can charge you a monthly fee.
They are taking advantage of people who are looking for work and can't afford to be paying for something else, when you can't even make ends meet!!!
